By car: On the Highway A1, exit at Firenze Scandicci and continue through to Firenze-Centro. Cross Viale Talenti and Via Pisana till Porta San Frediano, turn to the left and cross the Amerigo Vespucci bridge, then continue straight onto Via Melegnano and before reaching Via Maso Finiguerra you will find the intersection with Borgo Ognissanti where we are at number 8.
By train: Exit from the Station to the right and continue to Via Santa Caterina da Siena until the traffic-light. Cross Via della Scala, take Via Dell' Albero and continue onto Via Maso Finiguerra. At the end of this street your will find the intersection with Borgo Ognissanti: the Hotel is located at number 8.
By plane: You can take a taxi or a shuttle bus, which runs every 30 minutes till 08.00 pm (then it runs with an hourly frequency) and reach the train station (Then see: By train).

El Hotel Martelli está situado en un antiguo palacio de los Médicis en el centro histórico de Florencia a dos pasos del Duomo, de los Uffizi, de los principales museos florentinos y de la estación de Santa Maria Novella.
Al recorrer el hotel no pueden pasar desapercibidos los escudos de armas aun presentes de dos familias nobles florentinas que en el pasado habitaron este edificio:
los Bartolini Salimbeni, en cuyo escudo de armas se destaca la curiosa inscripción "PER NON DORMIRE" (PARA NO DORMIR), antigua recomendación a los mercaderes que, llegados a Florencia para vender sus productos en el mercado, dormían tan profundamente que a la mañana siguiente no se despertaban a tiempo para ir al mercado, y los Martelli, otra familia noble en cuyo escudo de armas está representado el grifón alado y que hacia mediados del 800 transformó una parte del edificio en posada.
Se dice que Catalina de Médicis (1519-1589) se alojaba en la habitación número 47 cuando venía de visita a Florencia.
